Restaurant Amir - Châteauguay

Chicken skewer is very good,l, chicken plate with rice and good Greek patate miam ,and say salad !!!!

We used to be good customers (ordering family dinner every 10 days or so) of the Chateauguay Amir ever since it opened. After 2 incidents, unfortunately they have lost us forever. The 1st one was last year where the whole family got very sick (stomach) after a meal there, most probably due to a not quite fresh garlic sauce. But I got over that and decided to give them another chance. And even though they had increased their prices considerably, I slowly went back to being a regular until earlier this year an employee who claimed to be one of the owners was rude enough to make us stop going there completely. For over a year every time we'd get the same thing: shish touk or mixed meats plate with half Lebanese potatoes and half french fries. Never was an issue and we were never charged extra (usually fries are cheaper not more expensive than salad or rice). I would always get one of the same 2-3 people working. This time, early this year I asked for my "usual" and this supposed owner got very upset and frustrated advising that he doesn't understand who and why I was receiving this combination before, that in the future it will not be available except if I pay a 2.5$ extra. He was very rude and almost said that basically I'm not welcome in his restaurant if I don't like the standard plates. He also charged me 1$ extra per plate as a "favor" (instead of the threat to charge 2.5$ in the future). No problem. It's now more than 10 months since I have gone somewhere else for our usual lebanese food days.

The service is fast and the food is always good for the value. I pick up the food after work to bring home and never wait long.

Since each Amir follows the same menu, this one makes the best garlic sauce of all of them. Take out is quick and you can select items of your choice to complete combo. Plenty of place to eat inside. They also now deliver.
