We had the beef tartare and the deep fried mozzarella balls for starters as well as spaghetti Giuseppe made with fresh tomatoes grown on Mount Vesuvius. The steak with 15 year old aged balsamic vinegar was a delight and the pairing with wine from Puglia was magnifico. The dessert made lovingly by chef Lisa was the cherry on the top. We will be back soon. Best restaurant I have been to in chartres.
From the decor to the chef's innovation, this farm to plate hidden jewel has the potential to compete with some of the greats. Though it was only our first visit since they opened a few months ago, I can honestly say that this is the best restaurant in the entire Centre region far surpassing the 1 star Michelin "George" at the Grand Monarch and at a quarter of the price.
What a rare gem and arguably the best restaurant in Chartres, France. From rustic plates to generous portions of signature gastronomic Italian cuisine, all of Chef Giuseppe's creations are creatively and deliciously made. We absolutely loved our meals there (yes we returned a few times while visiting) and would highly recommend it to locals as well as tourists. We loved the clean, comfortable atmosphere and how spacious it was inside - it can take up to 70 people which is probably perfect for a wedding venue too. And if the weather is nice, you can sit outside and enjoy the privacy. Again, great for functions!Chef Giuseppe grows his own herbs which he uses in his dishes and if you're wondering about the selection of desserts- you can have all the traditional Italian desserts made with love from Chef Geffen. You can find more of her delectable treats for sale in the shop next door along with pickles, biscuits, condiments and fine imports from Italy.We loved the chicken and rabbit pen outside providing hours of joyful entertainment and lots of room for kids to play and run around. Plus there's an ample amount of free parking outside.So pleased to have had the opportunity to dine in Chef Giuseppe's Terra Paglia restaurant. Italian fare at its finest and better yet, it's an English-speaking restaurant! Hurrah for Chartres!
To the best Italian restaurants in France! the pasta here is excellent! although the portions are small, they are delicious and satiating! the place is very classic and the service is highly qualified! I recommend this place very much!
From the staff to the owners warm hospitality, up to the amazing eating they cannot go wrong on this place. they deserve their Michelin prize.
