Bonchon - Charlotte

This was our first visit to this restaurant and we were warmly greeted by Sydney. She was extremely pleasant and friendly. We were seated promptly and didn't have to wait long. We wanted to sample a bit of everything, so we ordered the 8-piece chicken wings with half sweet chili and soy garlic, along with a side of pickled radish; the pot stickers were also half sweet chili and soy garlic; bulgogi bibimbap; Bulgogi fried rice; Sierra Mist; and sweet tea. The food was freshly prepared and served piping hot. My absolute favorites were the sweet chili pot stickers and wings - they were absolutely delicious! The pickled white radish was extremely fresh and crisp and added a nice touch to every bite. This was my favorite pickled radish dish so far. The food was delicious overall and I highly recommend this restaurant. Even though we live 2 1/2 hours away, we will definitely be back whenever we are in the area. I recently dined with my husband at this restaurant and the food was delicious. Our waitress was very friendly and we had a nice conversation with her. However, things took a turn when she started talking about Korean women and offering to introduce my husband to some of them. My husband had to remind her that I was his wife and she needed to respect that. This made me uncomfortable and I ended up giving the restaurant 3 stars. It was recommended to me by a Korean friend, but we will not be returning due to the unprofessional behavior of the waitress. Waitstaff should maintain a level of professionalism and respect towards all customers, and unfortunately, this experience has left me hesitant to return to this restaurant.

We started off with the Korean Tacos and Pork Buns, which were excellent for sharing. The chicken was delicious and we enjoyed trying both sauces. The Spicy sauce had a nice kick, while the soy garlic was more mild. Both sauces were delicious depending on your taste preference. The fries were also excellent. The service was prompt and friendly.

This was my first experience trying Korean food, and it was fantastic! We ordered soy wings, garlic fries, pork belly tacos, and a noodle bowl - all of which were amazing. The server was very friendly and did an excellent job guiding us through the menu.

I have visited Bonchon multiple times and the staff is extremely friendly. The service is great and the food is the highlight. You won't find better fried chicken in the Charlotte area. It's delicious, crispy, and juicy. I always make sure to order a side of kimchi with my meal. The atmosphere pairs really well with alcohol. I highly recommend trying a shot of soju with your meal. Beer and chicken is a fantastic combination and they offer both. The appetizers are all tasty. I suggest trying the Korean tacos and pork buns.
