Saffire - Charleston

Not many foos options near where we stay. I thought we would try. fish tacos tasted fishy. the chicken sandwich of my wife was really dry and dirty. very surprising.

No need for a reservation. the restaurant is located in a hotel. our party of 8 was said to order from the bar as there were no waiting staff

Gerard was the only waiter/grader/host. while the bar had two workers. we had to wait for gerard. it was a scandal. he got drinks, took orders and bought accusations of tables. some people weren't nice to gerard. he was very professional, apologised over the length of the waiting period for food. Unfortunately he did this on shifts, also, was there only four months. he deserves an increase or promotion. it still has to be treated.

Not bad for a hotel restaurant that was eating well I was eating there several times, although charleston has a competitive eating scene

We arrived 10’mins early and hostess was unfriendly and looked overworked. Advised we could not get breakfast at 1115 even though website and reservation indicated until 12.. all the empty tables were filled with dirty dishes.. we left as it was already a bad experience
