Przekaż informację zwrotnąWe ordered the lamb entree since we had the lamb there last thanksgiving. Unfortunately the cut was totally different. Back in November it was lovely little chops this time it was a shank and it was very sinewy. It was a complete let down. They did comp the lamb since we could eat very little meat from it. They should go back to the chops or word the description on the menu differently. Lamb does not tell you anything about the cut and we assumed it would be what we had previously. The rest of the meal was very nice and well prepared.
The staff was very courteous and pleasant. The food was not what I expected in flavor, although maybe I just made the wrong choice. The person I was with enjoyed her dish. They do have an excellent wine selection. The atmosphere is a combination of bar and restaurant, so not as quiet as I thought it would be. It's not a place I wouldn't go to again, just wouldn't be my first choice.
My husband and I really enjoyed our food. Everything was cooked to perfection and our server was very attentive and nice. We had appetizers, main course and dessert. They were all so perfectly prepared.
We very much enjoyed the Restaurant Week Specials. The Oeuf en Meurette starter was outstanding! For entrees, I had the scallops and my husband had the duck. Both were well prepared. The duck was not super flavorful, but the black cherry sauce helped liven it up and the potatoes was delicious. My scallops were cooked perfectly and went well with the risotto and beurre blanc. For dessert, we both chose the chocolate tart. The filling was fantastic; creamy, rich, and not too sweet, but the crust was hard and difficult to cut. Although C&W Bistro is very close to our home, we rarely dine here because it's expensive. I appreciate the value they offered for Restaurant Week. It was also a good reminder of their fabulous wine selection. We'll be back for happy hour soon!
Hard to find excellent restaurants like this that are not closer to Central Phoenix. This is a diamond in the rough. Best escargot I’ve ever had. Excellent steak tartare. Solid bar options. Extensive wine list. Wonderful service at the bar from the owner. Just go you won’t be disappointed.
