Cafe Zanzibar - Central Saanich

We took some friends to eat last night, who weren't in the night. the service was incredible and eating so fresh and beautiful served in large plates. beautiful large wine glasses (important) and the tamponade and the brot was such a nice tasty bite while we waited. hard working waiter and a cool atmosphere. you have to try.

What a disappointment this place is! ordered the eier benny, who arrived with hardly one of their tasteless hollandaise, maybe 2 teaspoons on one of the eggs and I think there were 1 teaspoon on the other egg, but this tiny amount slipped off directly, see the photo, I wish to take a photo when it arrived. muffin was so hard on the floor, it was difficult to cut. there were a couple of kartoffels with it, but all in all I left starving of my brunch. he told about disappointment about the amount of hollandaise, but they did nothing about what tells me how much they care about their mozens. will not go back!

Maxine was so helpful with my gluten-free options. best vegetarian burger I've ever had. salates are soou good. I love the ambiente. can't wait to go back

Everything on the dinner menu is fantastic, and the value is very easy five stars. scallops, salmon, and delicate alloy all excellent. imo, the mushroom dish is the best on the menu. Apparently there are nightly specialties (after the menu), but my wife and I do not remember ever telling about this (over five visits in the restaurant). service was poor during the last visit (party of eight: e.g. missed appetizer, mixup with wine, a escape came 7 minutes late, water glasses left empty).
