The people at the table next to us noticed him struggling to eat his dinner and constantly removing bones from his mouth. When they asked the owner about ordering the fish, he assured them that it had no bones, which turned out to be untrue. The special we ordered, lobster ravioli, tasted like frozen ravioli from the grocery store and the bread was hard and stale. To top it off, when the bill arrived, we realized that the owner had overcharged us for the bronzino, from the menu price of $38 to $49, without mentioning it. When we questioned him, he claimed that he gave us the whole fish instead of the filet we had ordered. He showed no remorse or care that we did not enjoy the dish, and did not offer to reduce the price back to the listed price. Diners should beware of this establishment.
The experience at this restaurant was terrible from start to finish. The owner was extremely arrogant and pompous, turning a young couple away from a table for not having reservations and even shooing them away. Shortly after, he seated three more tables without reservations. The food was awful, with a sloppy lasagna containing canned green peas. The owner also took a long time to give out bills, as he seemed to want to do everything himself. This arrogant behavior and poor service will not have us returning to this establishment. It was definitely not the romantic dinner we had hoped for. We were very disappointed with the owner's treatment of customers and the overall experience at this overpriced restaurant. It is best to avoid wasting your time and money at this place.
Completely Italian - I feel like I am dining on a sidewalk in Rome. The food is excellent, especially the bread! The red sauce, lobster ravioli, and fettuccine carbonara were absolutely delicious. Kudos to the chefs for their pride and ownership of the cuisine.
Terrible experience. My husband ordered the bronzino and it was so full of bones it was inedible. The table next to us took note of my husband struggling to eat his dinner and watched him constantly pulling bones out of his mouth. They then asked the owner about ordering the fish and he assured it had no bones. It was disgusting. We also ordered the special which was lobster ravioli and it literally tasted like the frozen ravioli you find in the grocery store. Hard, stale bread. The biggest insult was when the bill came. The owner overcharged for the bronzino, $38 menu price to $49, never mentioned it, and then when questioned he stated he gave him the whole fish versus the filet as ordered. He had no remorse, no care that he did not enjoy the dish, and did not even offer to reduce the price back to it 's listed price. Diner beware.
Absolutely amazing. Genuine authentic Italian food. Amazing bread, wine and entrees. The green pepper sauce with my steak was absolutely amazing and worth coming back for. The atmosphere was also pristine. This place is the definition of a hidden gem.
