Catfish House - Carrollton

My first time eating here and I purchased a grilled chicken salad , the chicken was dried laid across the salad which had barely any lettuce no cheese at all and the chicken was old either cooked to long or just old , not happy about it had to go home and cut the chicken up in small pieces and the lettuce, it’s like they gave me the last they had .

You won’t find another place with this amazing catfish! We drive a decent amount just to come to this place, and we don’t regret it! They have plenty of seating, it’s never overwhelmingly busy, and the food is fresh! Highly recommend it!Food: 5/5

I ordered catfish and shrimp combo. Shrimp was decent just very thin but what really got me was how THIN the catfish was. For $15.25 it’s like they took a regular catfish fillet then sliced it 3x thinner. I’m talkin about nothing but breading smh. The batter had a decent flavor like I honestly think if there was actual fish in there this place would be decent. The chowder was ok as well. Idk if I would order it again but it was nice that they offered it. The staff were very nice and accommodating though. They gave me a full refund without any question so I did appreciate that part. The vibe in there is very chill.

The catfish is always seasoned well, hot, and tasty. As far as I'm concerned, that's all that matters for a restaurant named Catfish House.But sadly, sometimes, in a 4 piece combo there's usually one baby fillet. And another time the fries they served were clearly old and just fried a 2nd time. They were gross.Lastly I gotta say the dining room is horrible with lots of stuff on the walls covered in layers of dust and spider webs. It's very off putting.But as I said earlier, the fried catfish is on point y'all so get that ish to-go and enjoy.

We have had seafood at various locations in the Plano area, including Pappadeaux and Flying Fish. After trying out food from Catfish House in Carrollton, we are now its fans. The food is fantastic and the service is excellent, and it is reasonably priced. Mostly we have done online orders and picked them up. The food is always ready on time and nothing is shorted, very important. No hassles restaurant; just good food and service.
