The fields were picturesque, and the vibrant colors of the flowers added a touch of beauty to the surroundings. One aspect that made the visit even more enjoyable, especially for the kids, was the scavenger hunt. It added an element of excitement and exploration to the trip. It engaged their curiosity as we searched for hidden treasures amidst the flowers. The hunt made the visit interactive and kept them entertained throughout the experience.Although the flowers were not in full bloom during our visit, I could still appreciate the charm and potential of the fields, I can only imagine how breathtaking it would be to witness the fields in their full glory later in the season. Nonetheless, the partially bloomed flowers still created a lovely ambiance and provided a memorable experience.Overall, I highly recommend visiting this place. The beauty of the surroundings, combined with the fun scavenger hunt, made it a worthwhile experience for both adults and children alike. It's an ideal destination to immerse yourself in nature's beauty and create lasting memories with your family.#LetsGuide

I had a lovely morning at the flower fields. I suggest arriving at 8:50 and getting in line early as it can get quite crowded. It's less busy and cooler in the morning. I recommend wearing sandals as the pathways are dusty and dirty. Start by walking to the tops of the flower fields for the best photos with fewer people in the background. The fresh strawberry shakes were a delicious treat, but a bit pricey at $11. The pizza from the food truck, Pizza Trolley, was also tasty and a good value at $17.
This restaurant is stunning even on a cloudy day. I have already told my friends and family to visit when they come to San Diego. The beautiful flower displays, with birds and butterflies, brought a smile to my face. I think I will make this my regular spot for some me-time. And of course, I couldn't resist taking home some new flowers for my collection.
I have lived in Southern California all my life and had only been to this place once before when I was a young child. Unfortunately, not all areas were open when I visited in April due to the unusually heavy rain we were experiencing. However, I did get to enjoy some tasty food options. A food truck called Mexico City Cuisine was parked in one of the outdoor picnic areas, offering slightly pricey but delicious food. Next to it, Pizza Trolley served tempting pizzas and Italian dishes. There was also a cotton candy booth, a kettle corn booth, and a booth selling olive oil from the flower fields, which I highly recommend. Strawberry Shack offered sweet shakes and other desserts, while Kettle Kernels also served drinks like coffee, tea, and Italian sodas. Although the lemonade stand shaped like a lemon was closed when I passed by, I'm sure it's worth trying. The flower fields were larger than I anticipated, and I opted for a tractor wagon ride to explore them, which I found worth the extra cost. The flowers were in full bloom and incredibly vibrant. I also appreciated the designated photo spots that allowed us to capture the beauty without damaging the flowers. Parking was free and easy to find if you arrive early. I recommend buying tickets online in advance, as they are no longer sold on site. Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely come back again.
