The establishment has undergone some changes, but it still looked inviting and pet-friendly, which was perfect for us and our two thirsty Spanishiels. Upon entering, we were pleasantly surprised to find that each table had a board game on it. We ordered our drinks through an app, and I also requested a bottle of water for our dogs. However, the attentive staff brought over bowls of fresh water for our furry companions without us even having to ask. The music was a bit too loud for my liking, but our stay was enjoyable nonetheless. We left before the DJ started, but we will definitely be stopping by again in the future.
This restaurant is a disaster. The drinks are overpriced and you can't even go to the bar, so you're stuck with waiter service only. On top of that, they try to charge a service fee for the waiters. Don't waste your time or money here, there are much better places to eat and drink in the area.
Lo lounge review (foreseen bar:) I was now at two different locations here to give the place an honest chance. my entire impression is disappointment. the only thing the place has for it is the beautiful. drinks are overpriced and not particularly cold or delicious. when they feel cold, they can have a deck, but only when they pay for pleasure show that customer comfort is not a priority but money to earn. at my second visit we ordered brownies and hot chocolates/coffee. the coffee was bad and tasted not nice and the hot chocolate was neither good nor bad, but the cup had a pronounced smell of bleaching agent that ruined the hot chocolate. for the price paid it would have been nice to have cream up. Finally, we were abruptly said that they did not have brownies and that we had to choose other cakes, the cakes that we ended with taste as they were bought, and just from a refrigerator, thereby impairing the aromas of the cake. I am uncertain about the mood and atmosphere lo lounge trying to go, they played reggae music, but the decoration seems to aim on an Ibiza vibe, unfortunately the decoration looks just slightly sticky and tired already. I would avoid coming back for food, drinks or coffee, but would come out for those who want to.
We were all so looking forward to going to the Lo lounge, we’ve been many times when it was the lookout and had an absolute ball every visit, however this was a completely different experience altogether. When we arrived we signed in and was shown...to our table. We decided to start with cocktails, so we started with the cocktail at the top of the list (Strawberry Daiquiri) costing When they came, to our horror it was a strawberry flavoured syrup type drink, in a martini glass, Luke warm, with no ice. they said they were short on ice) We were told that’s how Lo lounge do there daiquiris, obviously we weren’t happy, so they said they would change them and try to do it how we wanted. They came back with the same disgusting syrup stuff in a long glass over crushed ice. we left it there and moved on... Next we decided to stick to shorts as we didn’t trust the way Lo lounge make there cocktails.. Gin tonics Vodka coke Bacardi tonic As we were having singles I only ordered tonics to share between the three of us. When the drinks came, they’d poured the two whole tonics in the gin and Bacardi and the second gin came in a shot glass! The excuse for this was because it was COVID there not allowed to bring the tonic bottles out because people share them!!!! Once again they changed our drinks to how we wanted them. The next round we ordered the same and I put in the “notes” section how we wanted our drinks, they came out fine. My friend then went to see what food was on offer and when she came back she said she saw a lady with a nice cocktail in a long glass, with fruit in it, so she asked the waitress. “What that cocktail the lady has?” A Daiquiri she answered very sheepish...obviously we weren’t happy that ours didn’t come out like that. The next thing that happened was unbelievable, the man who signed us in approached us and asked us to leave once we’d finished our drinks, we didn’t asked why, just said ok. We weren’t drunk and disorderly, and we’re not young ladies were late forties women, we just wanted our drinks how they were supposed to be, they cost enough! I think they just wanted us to put up and shut up. My parents were extremely good publicans for many years and I worked in every one of their pubs, I’ve never heard of asking someone to leave because there not happy with there drinks. What happened to the customer is always right?.. We will never step foot in that place again and we will be telling everyone we know about our experience there.
We visited this restaurant during a festival weekend in Cardiff Bay and spent several hours in the lounge. Jo and Theny were fantastic hosts, serving incredible cocktails and showing exceptional hospitality. They made us feel comfortable and welcome, like we were old friends. The service was excellent, the drinks were amazing, and the view was stunning, especially during sunset with a passion fruit mojito made by Theny. I highly recommend visiting this place and can't wait to go back soon. Don't miss out on this gem!
