But once found it has a clean, airy modern feel about it. The food was very tasty but slightly mean on some of it's portions for hungry men, and beware of the added 12.5% service charge to the bill. Very friendly staff and able to work around a theatre booking.
The Old Brewery Tavern Canterbury High Street, Canterbury, Kent, CT1 2RX great for lunch, as away from main bustle of a very busy Canterbury. The staff couln't have been more helpful
I went for the £10.95, 2 course set menu. I had fish and chips and the chocolate terrine for dessert, both were good. However, there were only 3 options for mains on the set menu (none vegetarian). My partner ordered the mussels from the a la carte which were nice. We would recommend the Old Brewery Tavern, Canterbury.
Exceeded expectations. We ordered a rib eye and a sirloin steak. Unfortunately they had run out of the Stilton sauce, and a little of the medium steak was quite rare (but this wasn't a problem as by this point I was too full to finish my meal). Would definitely recommend
We lunched yesterday at The Old Brewery Tavern in Canterbury just off the High Street. The interior is a delight, and so is the bill when you opt for the fixed price lunch (short, but a good range of choice). Immaculately served, perfectly cooked, and a ranged of wines and local beers to complement the food, this is a find indeed! The first course took just a little too long to arrive, but we were presented with home made breads and olive oil to bridge the gap. We will definitely be back!
