We ordered a takeaway from Sanam last friday and it was probably the worst we have ever had from anywhere. Order was wrong to start. We ordered egg fried rice and go two fried rices. We also ordered two chicken tikka mains and they both came with no salad mint sauce. While they did send someone out with the missing bits, the chicken was so dry it was hard to physically swallow. The rice, while it looked nice, was tasteless. The rogan joh main looked like some no descript curry that was some tinned tomatoes thrown into it. The mint sauces was also pretty weird, thick and or some reason yellow in colours Considering the mistake with the order I would have expected a free bag of chips or a few poppadums. Truly awful experience.
Went last night fantastic food, brilliant service and cheap, special mention to Shotgun our waiter,a lovely lad who made every effort to please
Rare night off and I just fancied an Indian takeaway and a chill... how disappointed are we. The Mint sauce is a yellow flavourless sauce and both our mains taste just like tinned tomatoes with some herbs along with a BIT of chicken chucked in... not for us, we ordered different dishes so we could have a bit of each others and dip the masala chips in which taste nothing like masala but only difference between our mains is mine had 3 half tomatoes and half an onion in... Good job we have a sence of humour, meal is in the bin and we are sharing the naan instead
Great curry as usual but was underwhelmed with the amount of chicken in both of our take away curry’s. Up until recently all curries had decent sized chunks But have noticed the chicken being rationed in the last few take always .it’s that sort of thing that makes you think about going elsewhere. It is a reasonably expensive takeaway but the quality of the curries make it worth it.
