Poppy Cafe - CANLEY VALE

We had a family get together lunch here, approx. 27 adults and young children. The food and drink prices were very competitive and the restaurant was large enough for our group to be seated in it's own area. The club has plenty of car parking in it's own multi-story car park, this is a must as very close to Cabramatta shopping centre and only 5 minute walk to train station.

We tried out the newly renovated cafe inside the Cabra Vale Diggers Club. The cafe has table seating for diners wanting a light meal as well as low-style seating. They are not the most comfortable seats but they are new. Prices seem to be reasonable and you are able to get hot drinks for around 3 dollars and cold drinks for around 4 dollars. We ordered the iced chocolate drink. It was a bit too sweet for my liking but some may prefer it that way. The chocolate topping was rich and the drink came with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream and cream in it. The service was however a bit slow on this visit due to there being only one person serving the front counter.

What a cute, trendy locale for that caffeine hit on the way to or from Balmain, especially when I am going to Elkington Park.

Great coffee and quick friendly service. I haven't tried the food but it looks great.
