We had made a reservation for 7:45 pm and arrived early at 7:15 pm. Despite there being many empty tables, we were informed that we needed to wait. After waiting for 20 minutes with no one arriving or leaving, we were finally seated. We were also told that we did not need a reservation for Saturday brunch, so we arrived at 10 am to find only a few people in the restaurant and were able to be seated with no issue. However, on Sunday at 10 am, we were once again met by the same hostess or manager who asked if we had a reservation. When we said no, she informed us that we would have to wait at the bar despite there being plenty of available tables and very few people in the restaurant. We found this to be incredibly poor service and decided to leave. We will not be returning to this restaurant.
We had a very good experience here. We were greeted by Laura (who we found out later was the owner/manager), were promptly seated at what we considered was the best table in the house, right on the edge of the patio where we had one of the most beautiful views we’ve ever seen. The lake, the hills, the sweeping lawn of the resort. It was special. Our server was very good, food was good. The evening was special. Wine list was quite varied. Save room for dessert. The chocolate cake was worth every calorie.
