This place was just up the road from our hotel, and not wishing to fight the downtown parking nightmare, we tried it. And what a gem. When we entered it was nearly empty, but half an hour later virtually full. And the food was superb. We shared lamb pieces on sticks, like kebabs) accompanied with a warm rosemary bread, a cross between a pizza and a foccaccia. Truly delicious. Followed by a shared pizza, mushroom and truffle. Not my normal choice, but what a wonderful one. We finished off with a pannacotta, and an espresso with brandy ., With all the beers, wine and water, the meal only came to 40 Euros. Friendly efficient staff. What a bargain and a gastronomic delight. We will definitely use this place again.
Each time I find myself in Campobasso, Parco dei Pini is an absolute must. The restaurant is kept spotless by its gracious wait staff, which combined with its elegant decor creates a delightful atmosphere. The food is phenomenal any time of day. As mentioned, they serve outstanding pizza made with local ingredients, its the real deal. In addition to the pizza I would also recommend the grilled veal or lamb, both are delicious. The pasta is equally appetizing if you aren't a fan of meat. If you find yourself in the area, do yourself a favor, eat here.
