Takao's Kitchen - Campbell River

Had the pleasure of stopping in to this place spur of the moment to grab some takeout sushi. It was fantastic. It was very fresh..made right in front of us! Very yummy. Very nice man owns and runs the shop..very friendly. He accomodated us even though we walked in at closing time. He even gave us a couple of his photographs of grizzly bears to take with us. Definately going back one day.

My boss took me here for lunch and wow, was I surprised! This place is a very TINY plain place tucked in a small complex, you hardly know it is there! The place is nothing to write home about, but the FOOD IS!!!! So fresh, so yummy, prices are very very reasonable and Takao is very personable and a very generous host! He is also a fabulous photographer which he sells greeting cards and prints of his photos and he was so generous and let us take a greeting card home as a Christmas gift! I can't wait to go and order from there again!

This is seriously the best sushi in town! It's great because its take-out and usually ready in 10-15 mins. I have also done his home catering half a dozen times, highly recommended.

This is a VERY small place - most customers do take out - but grab a table and watch Takao roll up some fabulous sushi. Everything is freshly made by the owner using local seafood. Takao takes great pride in his product and the results are terrific!
