It definitely leaves to want the food: the starter is composed of foods that you expect to find in a restaurant, more than in an agriturismo (health and cheese and very few vegetables). The portions are not satisfactory at all. We stayed in other farms in other areas of Basilicata and the experience was absolutely different (in the area of San Costantino Albanese). Breakfast hours are too rigid: by 9 am, but the sad thing is that the waitress, at the end of dinner, already asks you for what time do you plan to have breakfast tomorrow morning? And if you tell her you don't know, 'cause you don't know what time you wake up, you're shaking your nose. Cherry on the cake: they tell us that homemade earlets are available for dinner. We therefore ask for a dish for children and the waitress begins to say that it is not a pasta suitable for them because too callous. We insist, since we chose a bio farm because we would like to eat this type of pasta, children included, and even if callosa goes well. But there comes a plate of rigatoni. Calling the motivation, the waitress makes us understand that the homemade earlets are reserved for adult dishes. They're not worthy to be eaten by a child. In front of our amazement, rectification immediately and in evident embarrassment it is immediately available to cook this blessed homemade pasta. I mean, it's a good place, but I think they're on the road. I don't recommend it.
It is not easy to reach this farm, but the position naturalistically speaking is really enviable. At least for my personal experience, the kitchen was not entirely up to the location. On the appetizer, nothing to say: simple but with, in particular, ricotta and also a seasoned pecorino 4 months but it was not understood (and that we were offered) very good. The small pieces of ragout ears were abundant, with a discreet taste, but too sugorous. Also the discreet mixed roast: the best sausage of the lamb. The dessert, a tiramisu to the berries, had to be thawed long before and however was disappointing. Another highlight that wants to be constructive: I personally do not appreciate the menus too rich, but some proposals certainly would not be unwelcome to the customer. I mean, I think there's some work to increase the attraction of this farm.
We stayed at lunch and we ate really well. The owners are of an exquisite kindness and the panorama you enjoy is lovely. Very clean and easily accessible! We will gladly return.
For about 3 years we come on holiday from Lugano CH and we had the pleasure to have lunch several times at Sant'Elia, a magnificent Bio farm where you can eat genuine products of their production. Besides the good food does not miss the kindness from the owners who are attentive to the needs of the customers; with the occasion we thank and greet cordially Mario and Imma.
