Came here for date night with my husband. We had 6pm reservations and were seated immediately.I’ll start with the good:Our service/server was great! The atmosphere: It’s cute, quaint and the perfect ambiance for a date night. Now the not-so-good:We were seated at a tiny table for two. Which would have been fine but it seemed the plating was too large for the table with our drinks, the candle and other items so we had to place the items on the table next to us as we finished. Luckily, the server was very observant and could grab them as we finished each course. The drinks: my husband ordered a Manhattan and he was pleased. I ordered the Preggie Provence mocktail and it was ok. Nothing to write home about. We had to kill time so we ordered another round before leaving and they had run out of an ingredient for my drink. Oh well. The food: we started with the Caesar salad and I was very underwhelmed. I was expecting a more authentic creamier dressing but it wasn’t that and it also lacked any flavor. The calamari was fried perfectly but had no flavor (needed salt, acid and heat) besides The peppers and shrimp which were the star of the dish. Lastly, we ordered crab and lobster ravioli. Also not much flavor, most of the pasta was stuck together and overall just meh. Portions aren’t that big either. We got the donuts and tiramisu for dessert…also nothing special.I wanted to like this place but I’m really not sure about all these great reviews. Perhaps I’ll give it another try but as of right now, I don’t need to go back
I almost never leave reviews but the service here is incredible. Delicious food and even the house red was a cut above. This will be our go to special occasions place. Thank you servers at Capa Tosta!
This is a lovely little neighborhood gem. The atmosphere is casual and inviting, whether you come with friends or to enjoy a peaceful meal alone at the bar. The staff are friendly and helpful, service is prompt, and the food has been excellent every time.Vegetarian options: The overall menu is relatively small, so the vegetarian options are limited, too, but there are always apps, salads, and 1-3 solid pasta options. Everything vegetarian I've had has been delicious. Vegans will have fewer choices, but they are willing to modify dishes. Recommend scoping the menu ahead of time to see if anything will work for you.
Delicious!!! I highly recommend the meatballs and the chicken parm with spicy vodka sauce. We are definitely coming back here!
