La Tavola - Calp

This restaurant was run by a young couple it was doing very well but has since closed and is now La Sakura a Japanese sushi bar

We had been to Calpe over ten years and every year we are looking for new opportunities to enjoy some great food. This time we chose La Tavola . We tried about 8 different Tapas, along with two different soups (one cold and one warm) on the nice Patio in comfortable chairs. The recommendations were great and we got a lot of interesting Information about the different Tapas. Service was very competent and nice. The Tapas are a sensational creation and very nice arranged! We loved it very much. Try the nice white wines by glass along with the deliciuous food!

My wife and I had lunch there recently. Chose from the menu del dia . Very reasonably priced and excellent quality. Easy to find, on Pintor Sorolla, in the heart of Calpe 's tourist area, though I would rate La Tavola far higher than a typical tourist restaurante. If travelling by car, parking nearby might be a problem but, as we were on foot, this wasn 't an issue for us.
