I remember looking at the menu and thinking to myself every thing sounds good so it's hard to pick. When they bring out your food you think you made a mistake and asked for a platter for two but you didn't. For the amount of food they give and how good it is. It's really worth every dollar.

Make the stop at Thatcher's! We went for a late lunch. It was still steady flow of customers. It was fairly quick for food that is made to order. Seats were old bus benches. Neat concept. I had a brisket sandwich. Melt in your mouth. Tried all the sauces. The hot and spicy was the best flavor. Definitely no too spicy. My husband had the sweet and savory. Loved it. The Mac and cheese was homemade delicious. Sweet tea had crushed ice and southern sweet. Great choice in Calhoun.

Friendly staff at this busy BBQ spot. We tried the Fried Green Tomatoes, Porky Bucket and the Chopped and Sliced Combo with our favorite being the Porky Bucket.

The staff here was soo amazing and had real southern hospitality to some northerners who wanted BBQ! Everything was delicious- I highly recommend the fried green tomatoes ? I will say that we visited on Saturday night, which they said was their last day opened of the week so they were out of a few things (ribs being the most important) but they tried to accommodate and they food was excellent.
