Seems more on the bar end, as it has basketball games and skeet ball games, which would be fun at night. The menu is not large we both had fish and chips which were amazing. The fish batter is crunchy but not greasy. The cauliflower appetizer is very good and recommend it is like nachos with cauliflower. Service was also very fast and efficient. The music could be turned down for the lunch crowd as it was way to loud to talk.
If you're looking for a fun place to grab a delicious bite then Home & Away on 17th Ave. will check all the boxes. Be sure and have the Ballpark Snacks which is 3 generous bowls; 1 of candied nuts, 1 of home pickles and the last is the addictive H&A popcorn. All 3 of these awesome appetizers for the smoking price of $8. Beer is cold and cheap by restaurant standards and the variety is vast. Entrees are also delicious, especially the fried chicken and the burrito. Their patio is huge and sunny. We've been there 3 times and the service is always excellent. It's fun and casual and great value for the money. Be sure and check out the washrooms which are outfitted to look like locker rooms and you can listen to baseball play by play while you attend to business.
So disappointed to what used to be a favorite spot. Tonight started by ordering a Pimms Cup for a drink but they couldn't make it (although is a featured cocktail) because they were out of ginger beer. Then I went to order the Cheese Steak as my favorite Baltimore Shrimp Club was taken off the menu but they couldn't make that as they were out of brisket. Decided on the Steak Tartare which I have had there before and was excellent but unfortunately it is now half the size of what it used to be. Was excellent but felt ripped off as it now comes on a very small plate compared to what it used to be.Highly doubt they will be in business for much longer as others I know saying same things about this establishment going downhill. What a shame.
This is a super fun new place on 17th! They have basketball & skeeball games in one area which are super fun after a few drinks. The food is really great for a "sports" bar. The Wagyu Tartare was really really good! Also, beers were $4! Super fun server was a nice treat as well.
Was there for a birthday party,my husband had the burger with onion ring , he loved it and I had the lamb burger , it was pretty good too ! The fries are just perfect . Nice drink list !Our server was great , organized , pretty quick and personable !! Wish I remembered her name , so her good work gets recognized. It was an 18 birthday party , march 10 at 7:00 , we were about 12 people !! Thank you again to our server !
