Taco 'bout It - Calera

Excellent authentic Mexican food! We had the Al pastor tacos and tamale and both were delicious. We also had a basket of chips and salsa and even that was great! The chips were nice and crunchy and the salsa was just spicy enough. Everything was very fresh and homemade. I wish I lived closer because I would be eating here often! Oh, and great prices too!

I wish I could show my Yelp followers an image of amazing food in tacos. Unfortunately I couldn't get any service. Please spare me a shortage of employees in the world right now. I literally stood there for about 20 minutes and the guy looked me dead in the face and didn't even greet me, or say give him a few minutes. There was one couple a head of us who was already sitting and complaining about how long it was taking for their two burritos. So clearly there is a problem with service here. Maybe one day if I'm in the area I will try to go again they were essentially located right on Main Street which was nice and it was small enough what plenty of seating. Such a shame I literally could not get service to buy any food.

Taco meat (chicken and steak) was salty, you can tell it was older and salt was masking whatever flavor it had. Burrito bowl was okay. Cash only.

First, let me say that I really don't like to give negative reviews especially at this time. But I have to make our experience there today public so you can't say you weren't warned. Based on the reviews, we stopped at this tiny shop on our way to the aquarium for a quick lunch. It disappointed on almost every level. There was one other occupied table with 2 people. It took over 10 minutes for the cook behind the order counter to acknowledge me. He said he had a big order (which he did) and we would have to wait. After 20 minutes he finally took our order (one fajita and 5 tacos). Then we waited and waited. We noticed someone else who came in after us get his food before us. Finally 20 minutes later we got our food. And while it wasn't bad, it was just OK and certainly not worth waiting nearly an hour to get. The shop is dingy, freezing cold and dirty. My grandson ran his finger along the wall and it was black. And our food with 3 drinks from the refrigerator came to over $50 so it certainly isn't a low cost meal. So disappointed.

I thought tacos were way to spicy Maybe ok for the latin population however they should care or be aware that others may not tolerate that much heat Not exactly friendly or accommodating even you communicated in Spanish to non Latins
