Hockley General Store and Restaurant

I lived in the Dufferin area for most of my life and recently removed a stone's throw from the Hockley Valley General Store. I visited the place once a week. I had all their soups and sandwiches that are amazing, the soups are very often vegan and milk free. The mushroom is probably my favorite. They have freshly roasted coffee, candy and delicious finger foods. The staff has that the type of trust that can only come with fresh, locally produced, delicious food. You have the dagger of a New York Diner employee. The building had a rustic elegance that added to the simplicity of your meal. It's a piece of Canadian. They have an LCBO in the house and sell a variety of Knick knacks and literature that will be poured around. It is one of my favorite spots in my community and it will live forever in my memory.

If you open up to 5 you should not close your coffee machine at 430. Most clientele come from a distance. If it was on the site that coffee sold up to 4 we would not have come. In price, but it's specialty so paid before... wouldn't be back. Lady at the counter was there the last time can manager or owner is very miserable, every time. The other staff is good.

Fresh and tasty. Love their coffee and the big cookies. Awesome place to see bikes and bicycles.

Great food, friendly staff, clean, beautiful space surrounded by beautiful scenery. And unique gifts, and wine!

Great gathering place for motorcyclists. Nice selection of food with an all day breakfast.
