The Pie Peas Shop at Halifax Borough Market makes no pretensions about serving Michelin Star quality food, but what it does serve is very reasonably priced and tasty. You have the option of sitting in at the two units the Pie Peas Shop occupies or taking away. The Small English Breakfast is very good value for money at under £3.

Called in here today for a quick pie and peas lunch. I had steak pie and my husband had pork pie. Both smoothered in tasty peas with plenty of mint sauce in a separate cup. Washed down with a mug of tea each, all for £9.10. Takes me back to when I was a young lass. Have a look round the market and stop off here. Well worth a visit.

Enjoyed a very nice cooked breakfast, and given the option of toast or bread. The staff were very friendly and polite, even let us buy a couple of buttered bread buns to take away. Could do with a couple of heaters, we felt uncomfortable sitting eating breakfast with our costs on, but we'd definitely eat there again

The Borough Market is truly captivating. The Pea and Pie shop is absolutely delicious and definitely worth a visit. Be sure to explore the many stalls in the market after your meal.

Good pie and peas, just need better containers to take them home safely, pea juice leaks out how every careful who are.
