It was, unfortunately, the only good meal I have had there. After 4 disastrous visits on different occasions, I was left embarrassed in front of my guests each time by the incredibly poor quality of food and sub-par service. The wings were drowned in what tasted like ketchup mixed with BBQ sauce to the point they were inedible. The pizzas were under-cooked, overwhelmingly greasy, and the toppings did not taste fresh. We were also not given a sufficient number of plates, flatware, cups, straws, etc. Our group were the only ones in the restaurant for the majority of our visit, so the mistakes are hard to understand. An employee came to our table and summoned my adult daughter, making her have to leave her young children at the table, to offer her a job making deliveries for them. The action was especially irritating as we had out-of-town guests who had traveled distances just to have family-time together. This was absolutely inappropriate while a family is together having dinner! I am completely disappointed and truly hope this restaurant returns to its original quality for food, atmosphere, and service.
Great pizza and tasty wings. Great customer service and greetings from our chef. Very clean and great hospitality. Cannot wait to get more food, either eat-in or take-out, both are superb. Happy to see the Village is running strong, thank you Deanna and staff.
Was good at first but getting worse, communication skill need improvement
Recently my husband and I decided to try out the new Deanna's Village Inn which is in the same place as what all around here know as The Village Inn across from the Cairo Cemetery. Meals we have had were: Twice- the pizza special which is a large cheese pizza, garlic knots and wings for $19.99. Twice: Spaghetti and meatballs with salad and bread Twice: eggplant parmesan sub. All meals were cooked perfectly, generous portions and reasonabley priced. Service was friendly and efficient. I'm pretty fussy about eggplant and this was the best I've had in a long time. My husband who is much more fussy than me, lol, found the pizza to be baked just the way he likes it and he was very happy with the spaghetti sauce and meatballs. The new owners have freshened up the interior but mentioned they still have work to do. If you haven't been there in awhile give them a try. We sure are glad we did. And you are supporting a local small business.
Great food freshly made everyday. Cheap weekly buffet that always has something different
