Byblos Cafe - Cairns

After reading some of the previous reviews, it seems like people are expecting Byblos to be something it's not. Byblos has always been true to itself, offering a simple and authentic experience. The Erdencafé n Deli is a light and airy café with outdoor seating. It's a peaceful and relaxing spot with local newspapers to read. The breakfast menu is straightforward and reasonably priced. Some may complain about the lack of brown bread, but it's easy to ask for it. My favorite part about Byblos is the simplicity and the laid-back Mediterranean vibe. Unlike other places, Byblos doesn't try to impress with fancy teapots and intricate decorations. It's a cozy local café that offers delicious Middle Eastern flavors. I highly recommend giving it a try. Five stars for a hidden gem that's worth a visit.

We ordered English breakfast and there is no choice of type of brot. we got only 2 pieces white bread with butter distributed on them, 2 eggs and a few speck. also there was no great selection on the menu.

We chose Byblos for a special mother and daughter lunch. The staff was attentive and pleasant, and our food came quickly. We ordered a smoked salmon, avocado, tomato, and salad roll, which was beautifully roasted. However, the avocado was very brown and past its prime. The turkey, cream cheese, and cranberry roll was underwhelming and could have used some fresh salad on the side. The coffee was tasty but too warm, and when I asked for a larger cup, I received a standard size without being informed beforehand. The chai tea was not very enjoyable and also warm. The atmosphere was suitable for a quiet lunch, but as locals, we do not plan to return. The only positive aspect was the affordable price, but we would prefer to pay more for better quality food.

I recently visited this restaurant and was impressed by their selection of breakfast meals. The portions were generous and the prices were affordable. The food was delicious and better than some of the chain restaurants in the Cairns city area. The service was good and the atmosphere was lovely. I definitely plan on returning to eat here again.
