I really try to avoid takeaways like this but was starving after travelling and craving Chinese food. had vegetable curry rice chips and veg spring rolls. Loads of good veg in the curry and not greasy or overly salty and didn't feel horrible next day after eating. Good price also.
Had chicken in hot garlic.. duck in orange sauce. And duck in hot garlic sauce.. the chief who cooked this should be ashamed.and consider a different career..the 3 dishes were disgusting.tasteless. the sauce was terrible and no taste at all of garlic.. the orange sauce could have been anything.. with 3 pieces of sliced orange.. a complete disgrace. . Do yourself a favour hold on to your hard earned money..and avoid yummy house..
I used to live 3 doors down from yummy house and used it probably once a week. The staff were lovely, especially one particular lady that I got to know but can't remember her name My signature dish was salt and chilli pepper chicken with noodles and hoi sin sauce, it was fab. I've gotten it in other Chinese restaurants and it's just not the same. I now live 35 minutes away and on occasion will call in although I do miss having it next door
I have both gotten take away and also have sat and eaten as well..the entrance is small and more then 2 or 3 makes it crowded but this lack of room at entrance make it possible for another table inside the sit down part which well lit and very cozy and quiet.the food is what makes the yummy stand out above the other Chinese places in south tipperary.the have a very nice selection of various styles of Chinese cooking and also season to personal prefean compaerence and also offer regular dishes as well.the only defownside I see is the pricing when I say this I mean compared to American prices.and also the gap between take away prices and eat in prices is quite a large difference so be prepared for a sizable bill for eat in..they justify the jump by wages although same help is serving the takeaway..also this is modern ireland so nothing is cheap really these days every penny you spend more then 30 or more is going to government. So for a condensed version the food is very good for Ireland but pricey..
