It is much better and cleaner than the other ones that we have visited in the past. Our server, (I forgot his name) was excellent. We couldn't have asked for anything more. The food was hot and yummy. Love that they leave the pot of coffee on the table. As Senior Citizens we appreciate the Senior Citizen meals. They are available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Parking is never an issue because they have a huge parking lot.
We were not greeted, just left standing there. When I informed the person who seated us that we were heading to the restroom, they took away all our menus and crayons and cleared the table. The first waitress did not even place our order. Thankfully, a waitress named Kay stepped in and corrected the mistake. However, when we went to the restroom again and informed four people that we were not finished, they still brought out our food. Despite the confusion, the food was excellent and Kay saved the morning.
My husband and I had breakfast at the Cabot IHOP this morning. We hadn't been in years because of a previous bad experience. However, today, the staff was working hard and very polite. The food was delicious too. We will definitely be returning. Rating: 5/5.
I went to the restaurant today at 1:30pm on 7/5/2022. I am giving it 2 stars instead of 1 because the food was decent, which was the only positive aspect of my visit. The service was the worst I have ever experienced. Despite having 4 waitresses, a manager, and only 6 tables of guests, it took 20 minutes to get cream for my coffee. My girlfriend and I almost finished our meal before the kids' plates arrived, causing us to share our food with them. We did not receive any refills on our teas, and two other tables left before even placing an order due to the long wait and poor service. During payment, I had to argue with the waitress to have one of the two teas removed from the bill. I explained that we did not receive any refills, but she insisted that we had to pay for it since we drank it. Eventually, the manager reluctantly removed one of the teas from the bill. The wait staff and manager were incompetent and provided a terrible dining experience. Despite the decent food, spending over $40 was not worth it. Overall, it was an awful experience.
With the storm rolling through Cabot, most people lost power and came to this fine facility for food. With how busy it was and overhearing some negative comments the staff was still fast and very professional. Definitely a top tier place to eat at CabotFood: 5/5
