Vassilis Souvlaki Greek Taverna

We have eaten lamb in many restaurants, and for sure, this is the best lamb EVER. Great portions too. Unlike some restaurants that smear something fancy all over the plate, this one fills the plate with excellent quality delicious variety. We have returned to this restaurant for over 20 years, and will continue. Prices are good, too.

My husband and I called to make a reservation and the owner picked up the phone and responded rudely saying “it’s too late to make you food, I won’t give you a reservation” but it was 8:00 asking for a 8:30? And the online hours say they close at 10:30. So the next time I decided to give the restaurant a try, the owner slammed the door on us and yelled closed and the time was 8:30. But the stupidest thing was that there was a group of people sitting dining? I haven’t tried the food so I can’t comment, but the owner is terrible and he does not know what customers are or how to treat them. I wouldn’t ever try to go here again. And definitely will tell people about how rude this owner is!

I’ve been here before but hadn’t been in a few years. I noticed the prices went up and the quality of the food went down. There were no olives or feta in the greek salad. The bread was dry. The meals (lamb, chicken souvlaki) were quite salty. Service was good but we won’t go back as we had a better Greek meal at Ramies.

I went to this restaurant with my husband and son in an early dinner (5 PM) and the house was almost empty (only 2 tables being served). I tried the Mousaka and my husband tried the roast lamb. Both portions were huge and absolutely amazing from presentation to taste. However, the service was not that good. I asked for a glass of wine and the waitress forgot. She didn't return to our table any time, just when the dinner was served (almost 20 minutes later), so I asked again for the wine and she took another 5 minutes to bring me the wine. I will certainly return to the place because of the delicious food, and I hope to receive a better treatment next time.

Food has improved since we last visited about 2 years ago. Calamari dinner was excellent. Tender but crunchy and delicious calamari. Same crappy owner and service.
