They use high quality and fresh ingredients. The noodle seems to be hand-made. The truffle fries are just out of this world. I could just eat like 3-4 orders of the fries except it would be really bad for my health. Some of the fruits (e.g. dragon fruit) for smoothies are imported from Taiwan. Again, they don't skim on these high quality ingredients. The chef/owner is also quite innovative in creating the dishes. Great presentation and great fusion. They are located in this weird and isolated location after the River District and kinda in the industrial area along Marine drive. Hope the location doesn't impact their business. This won't prevent me from visiting again as they create new menu items.
Aside from being somewhat hidden away (which is a bonus if you want the privacy) the food was delicious. I had the curry lamb bao sandwich with chicken nuggets and a fully sweet avocado smoothie. Very memorable and if by chance I'm hungry in that area, I now know where to go. Thanks to my friend James who brought me.
In a complex full of chain restaurants, this place is a welcome and refreshing addition! I loved how bright the space was, and the staff matched this energy. Their genuine friendliness made me feel very much at home. Both dine in and takeout options are available now. Since I came here for a late lunch, there was plenty of seating. To drink, I got the honey lime tea super refreshing! I worried at first it might be too sweet, but it was perfect. I also got the popcorn chicken appy and tuna sashimi porcubun. The chicken was crisp and juicy. I found the seasoning a bit too salty at times, but the mayo on the side helped balance things out. Meanwhile, the porcubun was absolutely delicious. The bun was crunchy and golden on the outside, and soft and pillowy on the inside. No wonder it's so popular in Taiwan! I'm thankful this family recipe made it to Burnaby. I also loved the filling it was so fresh, yet packed with umami. I had a really great time here and can't wait to come back for more!
Amazing!I was expecting steam buns... But it was so much better! I had the Hawaiian sandwich which has a deep fried dough bun but with the toppings like chicken, pineapple and sauces it was so refreshing! It's hard to compare it to anything else because it's unique. The fries are crispy and nicely truffle. The popcorn chicken...well it's like karaage but bite size so what's not to love?I definitely recommend trying Bunnies and will absolutely be going back. ?
I had such an amazing experience here. The owner made some excellent recommendations and even went into detail explaining the ingredients they use. It was very eye opening, and most of all I enjoyed the food so much!!I ordered the smoked salmon porcubun, with a side of truffle fries and a mango passion fruit smoothie. The porcubun was deliciously crunchy and all the toppings tasted great. The truffle fries were my favourite—they are some of the best fries I’ve had! And finally the smoothie is made with real passion fruit, which is a pleasant surprise. I can tell the food was made with care and quality ingredients.Thank you Bunnys for making my day. <3 I look forward to trying out the other delicious menu items!
