Beautiful rustic inn with delicious beer and very good home cooking at absolutely fair prices. Nice and careful operation. We like to come back.
The star is the last surviving gastronomy with German cuisine in the small town, situated in the middle of the Spessart, with its well-sounding name. This can be seen throughout, and virtuous dishes at reasonable prices are prepared by the Chef personally. The services are always friendly and accommodating, so you can feel at home here. If you want to eat on the ground and enjoy a quite neat Franconian Schoppen (unfortunately only 0.2 l instead of the usual 0.25 l) in Franken, you are right here. Excellent is the roasted liver and the chef's carving, as dessert we recommend the pancakes filled with ice. The Paulan beer is obviously due to the Upper Bavarian superpower. The more suitable brew would probably be Duke of Thüngen from Arnstein, because the Thüngen nobles had the city of Burgsinn under their crunch.
It's good if you find inns in the country. Even better if they are as rustic and cozy as this one. A visit is a bit like a trip to the good old time. And if you are still absolutely satisfied with the food and service, you can find calmly: the gastronomy in the country is not as lost as it seems.
A really nice cozy place, a lot of flair. The food at Gasthof Spitze, very friendly.
