The Lord (owner? welcomed us tired travelers, and although he didn't speak much English, explained the menu and tapas combination options. The free charcuterie was delicious, like every little plate. The Empanada was particularly delicious.
On a last Saturday afternoon with a slight raindrop stopped outside. Only another table was taken by a family. Very helpful and friendly woman who serves us. Has made suggestions how much to order. We thought we wanted Sangria and she insisted we could get it. You should do the same! It's fantastic. Not clumpy sweet. Simply wine, brandy and some seriously cleaned fruits. Many shrimps with the gambs al ajillo, but they would have done a better job to kidnap them. The gritty sand was repulsive. The tortilla was not really recognizable by those we have in Spain, but still tasty. I wanted to get some pastries a few days later. You can see them in the window on the street. I wish we had the opportunity to eat there again. We sure enjoyed it.
I came across this little jewel by chance and I was thrilled. I have the brunch for honey, yogurt and granola. It was nice and the other option was freshly squeezed orange juice. I also got a bread basket. I choose a bacon sandwich it was delicious it was crispy streaky bacon with cheese and salad leaves. The other option was salmon smoked the pair next to me got the salmon and it looked very good. Finally I got my candy, I got a scoone, Madeira cake and two other little cake excuses I can't remember what they were. I also have a dish with cream cheese, pate, doulce d leche and strawberry jam. There was enough of everyone to skip the only thing I didn't use was the godfather. I also have a tea. I saw a jug on the table and thought it was milk, but it was oil. The waitress gave me fresh tea and left me a hug of milk as his non-Argentine custom to have milk in your tea. I loved the style of the café and the use of bird cages and sewing machines as props in the café. The waitress was very nice to explain the menu and talk me through the plates when she brought her to my table. The only negative was its outdoor seating area in the middle of the café had many flies in it, but this is nature and from its control. It was a beautiful experience that some people might think it was pricy 250 Argentinian Pesos, but for me it was so worth it.
Do not be fooled by the humble appearance of this restaurant. It is very simple and small, but serves excellent tapas. Like other critics, we asked the server to recommend its favorites, and we enjoyed everything he brought. A good choice for a night in Palermo.
I came here with a friend we had just beer and some tapas. Good! The atmosphere ist nice and the lady who served us was so kind. We felt great here!
