Let me tell you, the version at this place was absolutely incredible. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the hollandaise sauce was delicious, but what really stole the show was the homemade roti that the eggs were served on. It was amazing! The roti was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, like a giant hash brown. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant. I regret not taking a photo to capture how delicious it looked.
Via Italia is a wonderful little restaurant serving amazing food in a world class location. The experience is again heightened by the staff and the wonderful service. A big hello to Kylie..... as always, Thanx. The Eggs Benedict and the Caesar Salad, when you can get it..... to die for.
A great place for lunch and dinner. They have a special menu each night with huge meals for $15. The pizza night was a big hit with servings so big we took half of the pizzas home with us. The roast night also $15 is great value. The food is good and fresh.
Very disappointing. Have had a good meal here previously but was not a good meal here for dinner last night. Good friendly service but the food was not good and overpriced for what it was. All meals came out only just warm, more to the point of cold. I told the waiter the risotto was cold and crunchy rice. Not a risotto! He took it away and came back with a new dish after the other two diners with me had finished their meals. Again not good. It was warm but seemed to be spiced up and in a watery liquid but not good risotto. I returned that meal walking away hungry and disappointed with our choice. The other two diners ate their meals but was not up to standard and again only just warm and the lamb was fatty. They were not happy either. Normally would not complain but will on this one. Not returning and would not recommend.
One of those nights when your restaurant of choice was booked out for a function so you take pot luck.Via Italia had friendly & helpful service but then a stuff up of our order that meant a redo & us sitting around waiting to eat. A couple of glasses of wine, some calamari, pizza & pasta. All the food was OK though my wife's pasta was a tad cold.We had an early night planned so went to pay the bill & found my pizza cost over $44 & the pasta $33... Ouch.Average place, good service, not good value though.
