We chose to order our lunch from the takeaway at the side of the restaurant and ate on the grassed area overlooking the river.

Excellent lunch, service was very attentive, menu was extensive and food was just great, drinks menu equally as good couldn't fault the place, I don't know

We all had the Sword fish which was delicious cooked to perfection fabulous view, staff were great and humorous in all we had a very pleasant evening.

We had made our booking in advance and requested a quiet table for 2. We were surprised on arrival when told we had a choice of 3 tables. The first option was next to the entrance where it was explained it would be quite windy. On declining this position, we were shown to the next option. This was next to a table of 8 who were celebrating a re-union. Our next option was a table next to the bar. We decided to sit next to the table of 8 as this seemed the most sheltered option.On making our choice of table we were asked if we would like to order a drink. We chose a bottle of wine and when it did not arrive my husband went to the bar and made a further request and it finally was dispatched. We were told our waiter would serve us once service started at 6:00 pm.At about 6:10 the waiter from hell presented himself. He had a shaven head and an enormous black moustache. We had to ask about the specials – the information was given in a bored tone. We then said we thought we might go with the tapas part of the menu and asked how many he would recommend we order. We were told it was up to us – he didn’t know how hungry we were. Eventually we ordered a number of tapas and a side order of chips. By this time we were feeling extremely uncomfortable with the waiter’s attitude to us. But our food arrived without ceremony. I usually try to describe the dishes we order as a help to those reading reviews. But to be honest I can’t be bothered this time. They were OK but certainly not as good as we were hoping but maybe our taste buds had been soured by the manner of our obnoxious waiter.When we finished our ‘friendly’ waiter arrived – “All done?” and when we said we had he took away the plates.I think that probably the final straw was when he arrived with the bill in a leather booklet which contained a pen – obviously to fill out the Gratuities Section as the grand total was left blank. He was not amused when we went to pay the bill and no gratuity had been added.We will remember this experience for a long time and we will not return to this restaurant. We felt cheated. We had wasted our money (it was not cheap) and lost the opportunity to try another of the excellent restaurants in Maroochydore or to return to one of the restaurants already tried where we enjoyed excellent food with friendly service.
