Served cafeteria style this spot is always busy and the prices are great! Plus try gelato at the stand in-front while you sit outside on the patio. Big thumbs up from us.
It's an average restaurant located in the center of the city. The food is ok but not spectacular and it is quite cheap for Bucharest. I recommend it if you are in a hurry or a small budget.
I love this place. I have health restrictions on what I can eat and prefer simply prepared nice healthy food. This spot has it. Nice salad. Nice cooked veggies, protein, potatoes. And it's a la carte, cafeteria style, but really cute. I really enjoyed dining here with a friend of mine, the portions were hearty. If you don't speak Romanian, if it happens that the staff on duty aren't so fluent in English, you can just point at what you want :-) Big thumbs up for this little spot in the heart of fun busy unirii !
This is a buffet-style restaurant just down the road from the very central Piața Unirii and just round the corner from Piața Unirii 2 metro station. It's a big place, with two floors and an outside seating area, and very clean, but can get fairly crowded (although never so crowded that we couldn't find a table). There's a wide choice of Romanian food, it's labelled (in Romanian only) and most of the staff speak some English, so you can usually find what you'd like. Just point at what you want and the staff will fill your plate. The food is good and there's plenty of it. It's also cheap; a main course with potatoes/rice and a beer will set you back only 15-20 lei.A few downsides only. The staff can be a little bit dour at times. The food can get a bit cold (a perennial problem with this type of restaurant). The outside seating area is full of smokers and the occasional gypsy beggar (I even saw them taking food off abandoned plates). There could do with being more toilets and they could do with having locks on the doors (what is this dislike of door locks and toilet seats in Central and Eastern Europe all about?!). But overall I'd recommend this place for anyone looking for good, cheap, local food.
Sometimes The food is cold, but it's so cheap that it doesn't even matter. There's a big choice of plates. Sometimes it's very crowded, especially for lunch.
