Unavu South Indian - Broome

A beautiful meal in a magical setting.. tucked away in the back streets of Broome- town, Unavu's unique and ever- changing menu utilises the best of local produce, has lots of gluten free options and absolutely delicious. The owners and servers were hospitable and enthusiastic to share their knowledge of the food of Southern Indian. Everything we chose came out piping hot, tasted fresh and was not the standard Indian fare. Prices were good and children 3 and under eat free! Definitely a must do whilst visiting Broome. We will be back!!

Had a nice meal here, the owner Barani was very welcoming and gave us some insight into the dishes she prepared for us freshly. We enjoyed a variety of products; the fish, a beautiful fresh barramundi, was rich and had great texture, and the lamb was spicy and very tasteful. Take the time to sit and enjoy the food and hospitality in Unavu, you will not be disappointed.

The most authentic food experience in Broome! Unavu's curries are some of the best I've had in Australia, but what makes this place special is Barani's passion for cooking her Southern Indian cuisine. This place is amazing! A delicious range of meat, vego and vegan options to fill you up!

Great little gem off the beaten track in Broome . Had dinner here and love the authentic South Indian cuisine. The entire menu is gluten free and the owner is very accommodating to suit all tastes and preferences . If you are looking a great meal I would suggest you go to Unavu!

We enjoyed a lovely experience at Unavu a couple of days ago. As visitors to Broome and ex Indian citizens, we longed for an authentic menu from Tamil Nadu, South India, rather than what is usually 'dished up ' in other Indian restaurants. We were not disappointed at all and felt that we were actually dining in India. Barani too was a delightful hostess and her cooking expertise came to the fore in what she prepared for us. We wish her the best for the future and sincerely encourage other visitors to Broome to put Unavu restaurant on top of their dining list.
