One person ordered ribs and it took the waitress at least twenty minutes to inform them that they were out of stock. The chef left the restaurant twice to purchase milk, without realizing that we were waiting for our food. After waiting for over an hour and a half and still not receiving our orders, we decided to leave. I would not return to this restaurant.
The reviewer mentioned that they visited the restaurant around 9 PM, even though the device indicated that they were open until 9:30. The chef was friendly, but the owner was unfriendly. The chef offered to freeze the fish the reviewer wanted, but the owner insisted that they were closing at 9, even though online it stated 9:30. When the reviewer pointed this out, the owner refused to serve them, saying that he did not want their business and would not turn on the grill again.
The food was delightful. I ordered the fish and grits, but I wish there was more of it. Overall, it was very good and I will definitely be returning soon.
**Horrible Service * This establishment stated that they were open til 9:30. I walked into the place at 9 the cook was nice the owner was very nasty. The cook offered to fry the fish that I wanted while the owner tried to explain that they closed at 9 while online stated 9:30. After me explaining to him that it stated otherwise online. He told me that he did not want my businesses. And I gladly left….
Our large family (party of 14) arrived at The Southern Comfort after a funeral service and we were superbly served. We all loved the food and we practically ordered everything on the menu: fried whiting, Obama salmon burger, bbq chicken ribs, shrimp, sweet potato waffles, codfish fritters, rolls, po’boy sandwich, sangria, etc. Our server, LaToya, was professional and attentive. We’re very glad we chose to come to TSC!
