Hotel staff recommended Nora Thai and boy are we glad they did!We asked a few of the restaurant staff for some recommendations. They asked if we liked spicy or non-spicy, which was very thoughtful of them! We went with the spicy route, but also tried a few not-so-spicy dishes. The ambiance was calm and relaxing, certainly a little romantic with the music and the lighting! And the service was wonderful, between the recommendations of the staff as well as the engaging conversation! My fiance had a glass of Sauvignon Blanc and I drank a glass of Sapporo. Our first course was an order of crab rangoons. They were perfectly fried and crispy with a delicious, warm, creamy crab filling! The entrees we ordered were:Crispy Pork Belly with a delicious garlic sauce and Chinese broccoli (not spicy at all!)Khao-Soy Chicken, a yellow curry and noodle dish that was absolutely phenomenal! (spicy, but not too bad!)Green Curry Beef, with wonderful flavors of basil, galangal, and green Thai chili. (the spiciest of the 3, and my favorite dish of the night! great heat and depth of flavor!)The bill came out to $110 before tip for a total of four drinks, an appetizer, and three entrees. Not too shabby!Thank you, Nora Thai and B for such a great experience!
Ordered Grilled Beef Salad with cucumbers and cherry tomatoes.I received a pile of thinly sliced boiled beef. There were 2 cherry tomatoes and maybe 1/5 part of a cucumber , diced . The veggies looked more like a decoration. My intake of fiber with this dish was close to 0% .Dear owners , for a salad that is almost $16, please add more tomatoes and cucumbers. And please teach the cooks how to grill beef without boiling it.I will not be ordering from this place again.
Service was great but the food is terrible. I am shocked at all the positive reviews. We ordered massaman curry which was super watery, although the chicken tasted nice, it felt like I was drinking a broth that barely tasted of anything. In appetizers (dumplings and pork buns), we had to send back both of them because they were cold and tasted stale. Again, good on the service, they brought us new pork buns, which was definitely better! The drinks are sooo cheap in happy hour, can't believe it's New York but the cocktails were bad. I'd rather pay double for a drink that's better, otherwise it felt like a college bar drink.Overall, I will not return. Maybe it's better for takeout, but the restaurant was <15% occupied on a Friday night, which should've been a sign but the google reviews were crazy high so we went for it!
Foods: authentic, big portion, spicyService: there were many people so I don’t blame them.Drinks: really goodAtmosphere: try walk around the place and see all the ancient status.
Listen the ambiance is beautiful, Mood lighting, decor on point, fun bathrooms. They have a full vegan menu! I can get papaya salad here cause no fish sauce! My favorite dish is the panang tofu. For real try it. And i always get the curry puffs to start! Great spot for friends in town or dates.Vegetarian options: Fulll vegan menu!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free and vegan options
