Golden Leaf Chinese - Brookfield

Serviceables and nice staff. Not terrible, but not amazing. Neat Freaks will not love it, but it is a decent diver.

For New Year's Day. It wasn't there in years and was pleased to be warmly welcomed as soon as we walked by the bartender and LONGTIME owner. That's a very nice man! May I add. he prepared our meal himself. The food was STILL as fresh and FABULOUS as I remember! My father had the shrimp with Lobster sauce, my nabeby had the orange beef and I had the garlic chicken combo meal that came with soup and an egg roll. I chose Egg Drop soup and it was so delicious with the perfect consistency. The duck was also so good and the vegetables fresh! The Pork Fried Rice was just over the top delicious! That was true, Fried Rice! Nowadays, the typical roasted rice you get in other farms is only the yellow rice with a little onion and small pieces of pork. That? The rice was clear and true, fried..brown and had good size pieces of pork and onions along with small veggie pieces. The season was so delicious. it was addicted! I usually do not eat large amounts and always take large amounts of remains home. That day? I finished the whole chicken, the brilliant egg roll and a good amount of rice. I took the left rice and had it for lunch the next day. Yum! My husband LOVED his duck and my dad enjoyed his shrimps w/ lobster sauce with very fresh shrimps. This is a Chinese restaurant EXCELLENT! Good Chinese food is so hard to get. It is from the beaten path a bit now that the I84 motorway extension opens, but STILL FABULOUS!!! They won't be disappointed. That's a promise.

Golden Leaf is located behind the bright yellow bar(? This is closest to the road. Overall, I thought the food was good. My dish was not exactly what I expected - I originally wanted bean curd, but they had no, so I got mixed vegetables in general Tsos, but they did not have that as an option so that I received mixed vegs in their house brown sauce. And because they did not cure beans, they doubled my order on the house, very nice of them!! My friend liked his dish (sweet and sour chicken dinner combo, said it was quite standard for Chinese food. The crab on the menu was closer to cream cheese Krangoon (no complaint from this vegetarian, they were very delicious with the diving sauce! We would order from here again.

This is one of my favorite places for departure in the area. You sometimes have to wait for your food, but it's all so fresh. It's worth waiting.
