Przekaż informację zwrotnąGood seafood, a lot of choice, it's fast food style, serve by self. Price is reasonable. They have a lot of choice of drinks, but they don't have sparkling water or soda. I came with 3 friends, we had 4 orders, fried shrimp, clam, calamari and smelt, all came with fires.
This place never disappoints. There are tons of outdoor tables for you to social distance. Two lines when you are inside (one for food and one for alcoholic drinks). Took one star off for the small and dirty bathroom. Otherwise this is my go to place whenever we are near city island. Took some photos for the menus for everyone. Reasonably priced also.
It's a tradition for our large family and friends to go there and sing "Happy Birthday" to her. She has been visiting this restaurant since 1969. We continue this tradition every June, ordering a variety of delicious food for everyone since it's her favorite place.
The food was absolutely delicious—hot and fresh. The service was fast, and I didn’t have to wait long at all. Every dish I tried was fantastic, and their tartar sauce is the best I’ve ever had! I do wish the onion rings had a bit more seasoning, but they were still tasty. The piña colada was delightful, too. As for the prices, the portion sizes, and the quality of the food, you really can’t beat it. This was my first visit, but it certainly won't be my last!
It's been at least eight years since my last visit to Johnny's Reef, and I must say, it's better than ever! I ordered the fried calamari, and it was absolutely delicious. The calamari was incredibly fresh and tender, with just the right amount of breading. It came with a side of french fries, which were also really tasty, and coleslaw, which I found a bit lacking—but I didn’t go there for the coleslaw anyway! The portion was quite generous; it could easily be shared between two people. I was feeling a bit greedy, but I could only manage to eat half of it! I visited around 3 PM on a Tuesday, which turned out to be the perfect time—there were enough people to create a nice atmosphere, but it wasn’t crowded at all.
