The Old Jail - BROMLEY

We had been to this pub on two separate occasions, first occasion there items of drink and food that the pub did not have albeit on their menu: tomato juice, skate, caesar salad, salmon, pizza. The second occasion we went there they did not have any bitter, it was a Sunday and the food was very limited. Over all what food and drink we did have was appreciated. However the roast dinner had vegetables that were not cooked, not just al donte but not cooked, the carrots were raw, roast parsnips were hard so were the roast potatoes and the food was cold, how ever the roast lamb was beautiful.

We popped in here after my brother in law had done his Spitfire flight and wasn’t disappointed. Great service, good beer and well cooked food. Great pictures in the pub and a brilliant mural of a Lancaster and a spitfire in the garden room. I would definitely recommend

The children's menu at this restaurant is disappointing - everything is fried and comes with chips. Where are the healthy options? The portion sizes are also very small and overpriced. Our two-year-old granddaughter's plate looked like it could feed two children. It's puzzling why there are no baked beans available. Overall, the children's menu needs a serious revamp as it is lackluster and unappealing. It's no surprise that we were the only ones with children in the restaurant.

I visited this restaurant today for a family birthday, after having visited many years ago. The positives: the restaurant has a lovely garden and a variety of activities for children. The food was good, especially the fried dishes, and the service was prompt. Some of the staff were very helpful in accommodating a nut allergy. The negatives: the menu is fairly small and one of the three starters is bone marrow, which may not appeal to everyone. The garden could use some cleaning up, as there were broken equipment and old tables with peeling paint. The payment system is also cautious, and the prices on the menu don't always match the quality of the food. The service was inconsistent, with some servers not knowing what they were bringing to the table. Overall, it's an okay restaurant, but it could be improved if the standards were higher. I would hesitate to return in the future.

I went to this restaurant for lunch today with my mother and children. Unfortunately, I found that everything was dirty and the food was not good. When we left the restaurant, I noticed that the kitchen was also in poor condition. The garden was unkempt and the toys provided for the children were not well maintained. The staff was not very friendly. Overall, it was a negative experience and I would not return or recommend this restaurant.
