Went here for a first date. Very friendly and interesting menu and reasonably priced. Noisy! Server/bartender couldn't turn down music. I'm an aging punk so open to all kinds of music but wanted cozy and quiet. If you want to listen to Twisted Sister on a first date this is your place.
After a flat lazy cow lager, off tasting shrimp tacos, rubbery lamb chops, luke warm food overall, and a $5 upcharge for sauces that aren't even that good, this place isn't worth the price. I dropped $175 dollars for two apps, two entrees, and two drinks. If they step up their game, maybe they don't go out of business. I really wanted to like this place too, but when you walk in on a Sunday at 2 pm, and it's completely empty.. You have to wonder.
Food was amazing. Calamari was out of this world, steak was excellent, excellent service. Will definitely be back!
Mixed feelings on The Lazy Cow. When we walked in the music was a little loud, and the waiter graciously turned it down. Ordered butternut squash soup, truffle fries, and sautéed spinach for an after dinner snack. The food was good, although the sautéed spinach and soup portions were small. When I got the bill, I was a little taken back that the estimated tip ranged from 20% to 30%. Looking more closely, I was disappointed to see that the estimated tip was calculated on the total bill, instead of pretax, which is the way it should have been done. For the money, I think there are better places to go on Bell Boulevard.
