Food was good but the service was very rude. It started with getting pressured to eat there. We were walking on the side walk and they offered us free sodas and the speciality menu that had priced down options on pastas and a frozen margarita. After feeling pressured from them hounding us to eat there, we decided to eat there. Once we got sat down our waiter was persistent the whole time about us ordering an alcoholic beverage and if we were ready to order. We decided to only get one pasta to share and she gave us a rude look. Once the food came we got to enjoy that peacefully along with some complementary bread with oil (that was really good . By the end of our meal we were given our check that had written lightly a tip and total for our meal as if we couldn’t do the math ourselves. When we got the receipt back with our card in it it was pretty clear at that point she was now expecting a tip of $4 (more than %30! on the merchant copy of the receipt that was waiting for our signature for approval of the transaction she had fill it in like she wasn’t giving us an option to give an amount we chose. Lesson learned: CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS and Don’t cave in!!!
We were walking down the street and were stopped by one of their guys by saying, $13 lunch specials with free soft drink. As a group of 4, we said yes. We were brought inside, and they had the window/door open, and the fresh air felt amazing. We order 4 different lunch specials; meat lasagna, stuffed shells, vodka penne, and a margarita pizza. Straight up , the vodka penne plate was by far the best dish. We all thoroughly enjoyed it. The stuffed shells were a little salty, but overall, it was good. The pizza was soft and crispy. And then, it there 's the lasagna. It was okay. And mid dish, we find the center to be completely cold (almost frozen). We tell our server and she immediately takes it back and tells us they are making us a new plate. It was great customer service and I have no complaints about her. I wish I had gotten her name. Overall, the experience was good.
We went yesterday on our trip to Little Italy. We ordered the chicken Parmesan with spaghetti. The sauce and chicken were absolutely perfect! We loved the fresh focaccia as well. Our server was very attentive and kind; she even got a new oil dipper without the vinegarette. We honestly came into the restaurant because the greeter, Julia, was not pushy like the other restaurants we passed. They answered our questions and engaged in a nice conversation with warmth and kindness. We were surprised it was their first week on the job. You are very lucky to have them!!
The bread was delicious, but the entrees were overpriced and lacking. My margarita was also served in a cheap plastic broken cup and the syrup was in the middle and not throughout the drink. We were a little nervous being the only table in the place, but it was ok, nothing to rave about.
