Taiko Sushi Bar - Brisbane

Went to Taiko with my wife and adult daughter ordered 2 hotpots usually a good choice in winter but not this time . The hot pot included 1 prawn 1/2 scallop and a small piece of fishcake. The beef included 6 microslices and some vegetables. We were told the sushi was good but don't order the hot pot.

Fresh tasty menu, vegetarian options. Very cute little restaurant, friendly staff... discounts for Pokemon addicts!

Arrived at 8pm to find they were open after a late night at work. SERVICE Excellent Friendly Even bought the food to my car FOOD Sushi was fresh and enjoyable The Crumbed Chicken and spring rolls were nice also, but not great. Pork Chicken curry Little sauce Meat fatty Kids said they looked like dog food I told the staff my husband is very fussy and just give Pork meat and some plain vegetables on rice. The staff person said, okay soup? I said yes. We ended up with something my dog ended up eating. Seaweed and other items that was NOT what I asked for with no soup. We wasted $60 of our $92 order. Very disappointed

Loved it.  Tempura prawns, veges, calamari was amazing.  Very friendly staff, beer was great on tap.  BYO is ok too - $3ea corkage.  Great atmosphere.   Will be going again very soon..

We used to go to their old spot up the road and loved it!.. maybe that was the draft beer and sake that was available. No more :( Basically shopping centre japanese with an extra 20% on the price tag. Food has gone down hill. They obviously own the fish and chip shop nextdoor that we wont be trying now also. So disappointed we only live 2min away.
