One of the biggest problems with Mexican restaurants in Australia is getting the right ingredients. El Torito is no exception but they do rather well in spite on the challenge. The service was fast and friendly. The food plentiful and tasty. Unexpectedly, the chimichanga was not fried but just warmed. Still it did not distract from the flavour but lacked that crispiness.
This is my regular Mexican. Good food and I love their drinks - especially the horchata and pina colada. Nice quiet place in a great location at West End. Prices are reasonable. We had their burrito de la casa (beef, chicken and chorizo) and beef enchiladas for dinner. The burrito de la casa is a favourite of mine, especially with some hot sauce and salsa fresca. Made for an enjoyable dinner. Mrs Kan Do and I felt like we needed to be rolled back to our car.
Most authentic Mexican I have come across! Do yourself a favour and order the Tacos al pastor (pork tacos with a slice of pineapple). **** brilliant.
El Torito is my favourite for genuine traditional Mexican food! I couldn't fault any of the meals. The service is fantastic and they are very friendly! Cocktails are amazing as well
