Damotori - Brisbane

We have been to Damotori 2 times and have much enjoyed the fair on both occassions. The restaurant is being refurbished at present and a larger bar will soon be completed. The service is polite and the food delicious, with quite large serves for some dishes. The sushumi is a must do if you like raw seafood.

I am a cult follower of Mizu and only tried this place as it is in walking distance to my apartment.After now going there 20 times since it opened, I can safely say, it is the best Tuna and Salmon sushimi outside a white table cloth restaurant in the city.They nail the basics, the soft shell crab and vegetable tempura are spot on and bigger serves than I'm used to, my partner eats a plate of chicken karaage himself.It's BYO for $2 per head and the staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. They go above and beyond every time I've been in there. It's not been super busy which is really surprising. I'm not someone who usually reviews restaurants, consider this my marketing ploy so it stays open and I can continue my raw fish obsession.

Excellent food here. We had the 7 course special and the food was fantastic and big portions, we couldn't finish it all which was a shame. The only criticism would be that the courses came out to close together, probably why we couldn't finish it all. Damotori salad and the wagyu beef skewers were a standout, well worth a visit, very friendly staff and nice cosy setting.

This restaurant is tucked away in a side street close to the valley in Brisbane. Very well presented, clean modern place with hand made menu's which were quite cool. The staff were really nice and I was surprised it was just us there at the time.We ordered the oyster fry, rainbow tiger roll, small sushi plate and teriyaki chicken. All looked awesome and tasted delicious. The only thing someone would complain about is the price which was total $90 for two people but happy to pay when everything else was perfect Also by the time we finished we noticed lots of people starting to come in and also picking up take away.

We loved this gorgeous little Japanese restaurant. Delicious food, nice atmosphere, and lovely, friendly staff.
