I have known the owner for many years and he is a hardworking, kind-hearted person. It's great to see that both he and his restaurant are thriving. Don't miss the opportunity to dine here!
We had the veggie bibimbap and Korean BBQ chicken for lunch and it was delicious. The portion sizes were huge, we had enough for dinner as well! The chicken was crispy and the bibimbap sauce was fantastic. I wish I had asked for extra sauce because the portion size was so big, but I will definitely be returning!
Very nice little location. We had the chicken catsu, BBQ Korean chicken, spicy Kimchi, California rolls and spicy tuna reel. Food came quickly and was presented very nicely. (Presentation in Essen is everything for me lol) Essen was absolutely amazing!!!!! My boys loved the chicken and Cali rolls and I enjoyed a little of it. I recommend very!!!
This was our first visit to the restaurant. The staff appeared friendly, but not very engaging. One of the staff members had a loud and inappropriate conversation in Tagalog for most of our time there. Unfortunately, although the food looked appetizing, it lacked flavor. I ordered the Bibimbap, but it was bland. I am familiar with Korean cuisine and know that each vegetable should be prepared in a way that offers a variety of flavors when mixed together. To add any taste, I had to rely on the sauce. My partner ordered the Tonkotsu ramen. The noodles were cooked well, but the broth was lacking in flavor. We felt a bit disappointed. The dining area was quite warm and parking in the area can be difficult. Despite our experience, we have decided to give the restaurant another try in the future. I will update my review then.
Excellent Korean American cuisine. The miso soup and edamame are delicious. I ordered the Shrimp tempura Danbori loved it because it is an explosion of flavors that are both crispy and tasty. It's a lot of food because I couldn't finish it.
