Alex in Braunschweig... What else to say?! : Great. Bin (as before in any Alex and I have visited a few there always very much. The service operators are extremely nice. The only small manko is the waiting times that you have to buy at weekends sometimes. Alex is often so full that you have to wait some time until you get served or get your drinks or eat. To meet with friends in Braunschweig, it's just the right place. It is absolutely central, right in front of the Braunschweig Castle.. Just in the evening you have outside (there are very many places available in front of Alex a great view of the always classy Braunschweig Castle. Heating radiators are installed over the window places, which are very pleasant in winter at icy outside temperatures. So also smokers friendly; even if there is no extra smoking room. For food: I believe the card in Alex is standardized or the same for everyone. What is highly recommended in any case is the breakfast buffet, which has also opened within the week and always offers great selection of sausage, cheese, egg and many small treats. I have been there for breakfast so far and it has always been filled up immediately if something is missing and I have not missed anything : even with groups a great thing! On weekends to go away, Alex is great because there's always something going on. There is always music played and there are often special events such as football evenings etc. and also otherwise the Alex is: watched and seen: I only thought to take off a star because of waiting times; but then thought to the Alex Burger that I had and left a few days ago. Five stars!

The Alex is more if a cafe and not a restaurant. Simple food quickly prepared to fill someone’s stomach. Not that it was bad and for sure pkay for the kids but not for serious eating : At least a good place to observe the entertaining crowd in BS.

We were looking for somewhere nice to eat after a long drive and it seemed to fit what we were looking for. Food was good. A little over priced for what you got. At first we had a waitress serving us and she was excellent, then she vanished. Then we had a guy serve us. When i paid the bill in cash. He should of gave me 6 euros change but instead just put the money in his pocket and walked away. Tried to call him but he did not hear me!!!!! I was going to leave a tip but that is my choice not his. That annoyed me and has put me off eating there in the future as i stay in Braunschweig often.

I tried the same brand of restaurant in another city and is ok for a quick and not so expensive dinner.
