San Agostino Bakery and Fine Foods

Went here once and was not very impressed. Very expensive for looked like made in a factory. Prefer other bakeries in town

I was in visiting Brantford and needed a prepared meal to bring to an Italian person who was feeling down. This bakery was recommended by a local and I was one happy customer! It is be a bit hard to find off Lynden Road but well worth the hunt. We tried the veal and the lasagna, both were very authentic and large portions. The pasta sauce was homemade, the fillings delicious and the pasta not over cooked even when reheated. There is also a deli and a frozen food area. I think their main business is a commercial bakery as there is a large industrial kitchen in the back.Affordable, fresh, great service and lots of variety. Next time I am in town I will be back. They had many seasonal items, Easter at this visit, but I can see if I was a local great reasons to return often. They also do cake orders and catering, we tried a few pastries and they were very good.They also have many gluten free options if you are looking for a tasty place that can accommodate your health needs (or fad diets). I did not check if it was a nut safe space.

A bit off the beaten path, but "just around the corner" from main Lynden Road. San Agostino is a bakery that has 2 glass refrigerators for displaying fresh cooked food and a freezer with frozen dinners. This is where I get my usual warm breaded veal sandwich with provolone cheese and tomato. Just like back in Europe. Their lasagna with ricotta is really good too.This is only a take out place with a variety of fresh or frozen food to go. They make sandwiches in the kitchen there.The stuff is very friendly and accommodating.Highly recommended for home made Italian take-out food.

This restaurant should be shut down. They are ridiculously over priced and continuously claim their stuff is handmade but tastes like manufactured nastiness. If anyone challenges the owner or has a bad review she will simply block you from her page and tell you, that "she's publicly calling out on your misinformation" Her staff are rude and if you ask any questions about the food you're made to feel like you're doing something wrong. Found a hair in my cabbage rolls to that the owner said I was lying and my hair is long so it must be mine, even though it was embedded inside the roll

You can tell a business isn't doing so well when they shut off reviews everywhere and block those who have left bad reviews from their page
