I thought we were going to a 1 Michelin star restaurant. the food remained until standard, but the service ruined our experience. the server seemed inexperienced where dressed as if they were on the beach with their friends. it's a shame, it was a...loved afternoon, we drove far, but the service left us unsatisfied and made the culinary experience completely forget.
There was a time back when L’Emulsion wasn’t my favorite restaurant. at this time there was much too much espuma foam for my lust, although this was somehow apparent from the name. all that changed last night when...we had a wonderful four cursor meal at €56 per person accompanied by an excellent condrieu that I noticed had hardly a double mark on the standard retail price. the novelty of eating is surprising there, for example in the derée, the juxtaposition between foie gras, green cot and cardamom sauce; the calves and accompaniment worked magnificently together and everything was cooked to one t; the deliciously concentrated aromas of chocolate and coffee in the desert or in the case of the inventive kitchen of the mix of aromatic citrus extracts, was not the last demonstration that this yes, there is a little work to do regarding their service and the visual impression of the end game, but hey, it is just the macaron for now. it is amazing how much progress they have made in recent years. I’m pretty sure L’Emulsion can get a second. only for the record, as I noticed that in some earlier commentary customers were obviously told too late for 10 minutes, we were also 10 minutes too late, but no one mentioned it except us. we will definitely go again.
We came to dinner as a party of four and we had a great time. the service was a bit slow, but there are only two waiters and it didn't disturb us. eating is great, everything from butter to migraine. well done to the chef who shows talent and hard work.
I ate here as part of a group of over 20. We had two tables that were actually in separate parts of the restaurant just about in sight of each other. I have always been somewhat conservative in my tastes, but I was very...pleasantly surprised by the combinations of flavours and textures in the meal that we were served. We had a standard meal for the whole group so I did not actually see the regular menu. We were also served very good white and red wines with our meal.
